The Kentico Connection Conference has just finished and from the sounds of it, it was a roaring success. An old colleague and friend Paul, attended and returned quite excited and invigorated by Kentico’s roadmap for the future. it.
They’re looking to release version 6 next year and according to their latest newsletter it will feature Intranet functionality, Online Marketing, Health monitoring and more. Having started to work with a few competing CMS Online Marketing Modules I’m quite interested to see what they have done. I really believe this kind of functionality will be a defining factor in the success of any CMS. More and more clients are being sold on the marketing functionality of a CMS alone and it’s becoming the deciding point between CMS’s that already all have similar functionality.
In this regard Kentico are a bit late to the game, but in many digital companies of today it’s not always first to market, but first good product to market that wins out.
A congratulations is also due for Kentico, Deloitte recently awarded them with ‘fastest growing technology company in the Czech Republic’ and the ‘fourth fastest growing company in Central Europe’. No east feat, well done.
Looking forward to seeing what comes out in version 5.5 R2
